What’s up with this guy’s Youtube profile? He’s got all the RCR videos uploaded claiming them as his own, with some really wild/tag bait descriptions. Is he just trying to snipe ad revenue money?

He’s pasting text from car ads on the description to land from Google searches. Probably a bot or person doing this a lot to get views, but why? You can’t get ad revenue like that.
Edit: The text he includes details to car dealers. Probably someone selling “ads".

Hoping for some traffic? I don’t know how you can make $$$ through youtube if you are just re-uploading an entire channel’s product.
A lot of viral channels will re-upload good viral stuff, but never an entire channel.

You can only cash in the $ for adsense after a while. Google doesn’t simply enable it. They basically verify you after you require it (afaik, unless they changed it).
My theory is that he’s selling these videos as ads to dealers, because the descriptions include things like “Bill Smith Used Cars 2266 E Broadway Ave in Muskegon, MI 49444 Come test drive this 1993 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Classic LS for sale in Muskegon, MI. Option..."

I get those revenue notifications from time to time. I assume there is a long, drawn-out process to start making money from Google.
There is usually a “your channel can not contain any copyrighted content” disclaimer in it. That disqualifies me, since I have used songs on some of them.

I did it for a while a few years ago...it wasn’t really drawn out. Just clicked a few things and typed some stuff in. Boom, small deposits every so often. Problem was, it made taxes a larger hassle (bumped from 1040EZ to full 1040) for like 50 bucks a year. I suppose now that I’m on a regular 1040 anyway it wouldn’t be such a big deal, but I deleted that channel long ago.
